Several different variations of the Tremec TKO are available, with different gearsets and input shaft configurations. The TKO-500 is a wide-ratio transmission with a deep 3.27:1 first gear and a 0.68:1 overdrive ratio in fifth gear. The TKO-600 is a close-ratio transmission, with a 2.87:1 first gear and either a 0.82:1 or a 0.64:1 overdrive ratio in fifth gear. They are available for both GM and Ford applications, and custom adapter parts are available to make them work in Mopar applications.
